March in Review - Part 1 - Dr. Seuss

March was such a fun month for us! We were so busy learning about Dr. Seuss, birds, weather, rainbows, and outer space I didn't even manage to get updates posted. In fact, we even extended some of our March activities into April so we could fit it all in.

We started the month by celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America Day. Some of the high school students came down and read in small groups with the K-2 kiddos.
Dr. Seuss was our author of the month so we read his books and learned about him all month. The Kindergarteners loved his silly stories! They did lots of Seuss related activities, visited Seussville, became rhyme-masters (just like him), and even had a few yummy Seuss Snacks.

Here are a few of our favorite Seuss Stories:

Some of our Seuss-related activity ideas came from Two Plus Jilly and Simply Centers.
